It’s all about books today. I’m off to Jewish Book Week shortly, to listen to hear Avraham Burg, former speaker of the Knesset, speak about his book Rising From The Ashes. I can’t say I agree with much that Mr Burg has to say, but I thought was all the more reason to go along. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I’ve recently received two books by people I’ve nothing but respect for. Sir Martin Gilbert kindly sent me a copy of his book The Will Of The People: Churchill And Parliamentary Democracy after we recently corresponded over email. Can’t wait to read it. Meanwhile, the brilliant Daniel Gordis sent me a copy of his new book Saving Israel. I’ve just finished reading it and will post a review next week.
