100 years old – though you wouldn’t think it to look at her. I bet it’s going to be quite a bash there tonight.

    Incidentally, I can recommend an interesting novel that is set in Tel Aviv during the final years of the Mandate. It’s called When I Lived In Modern Times by Linda Grant.
