The Zionist Federation is holding a superb evening on Tuesday April 28 to celebrate Israel at 61. The line-up at the Bloomsbury Theatre includes award-winning radio star Nick Ferrari and stand-up comedian Mark Maier. There will also be the Kidanza Dance Troupe, school choirs and an IDF entertainment group singing Israel’s favourite songs. The evening will include a Yom Hazikaron ceremony.

Sounds fantastic! I understand there are still a few tickets left, so why not visit the ZF website and book your place now.

and maybe someone can ask nick ferrari while they’re there why it is that he presents a tv show on the vile iranian propaganda station press tv? on his show they – in all seriousness – discuss such delightful topics as whether 9/11 was an inside job. the channel itself is a hotbed of lies, antisemitism and incitement. does he really need the money?

Wow, I didn’t know he did that. That is disappointing.

Correction: the event is Tuesday April 28th (not 18th). I would’ve gone along had it not clashed with a local celebration – & I’m on the organising committee (of the local event). But I think it is great that the ZF are holding this in Central London making it easier for a lot of people to get to.

I’ve bought “Not in my Name” as a birthday present for a member of my family who celebrates a significant birthday this week..

Thanks for the correction (have just updated the post) and for buying Not In My Name! Good luck with your local celebration!
