As you’re probably aware, there’s been a big fuss in recent days about Marc Galasco of Human Rights Watch and his love of Nazi paraphernalia. This is a man who has produced a series of (questionable) reports against Israel, so it’s no wonder that the fall-out from this revelation has been huge. Human Rights Watch have reacted badly. Galasco somehow still has a job and their statements are dripping with contempt for the very idea that Jewish people might be offended by Nazi-fetishism, or that a man photographed boozing in a Nazi t-shirt might not be the best choice to investigate the Jewish state.

The biggest surprise about all this is that anyone is surprised because Human Rights Watch lost all credibility long ago. It is a corrupt, biased and dishonest organisation that specialises in Israel-bashing. As such, it regularly overlooks genuine human rights violations elsewhere in the world.

It would take thousands of words to document the obscenity of Human Rights Watch. Just one example: they visited Saudi Arabia earlier this year. Were these ‘human rights campaigners’ there to criticise the regime’s systematic human rights abuses including brutal misogny and homophobia? Hell no! They were there to raise funds from rich Saudis to fund yet more Israel-bashing. Within months they issued yet another distorted report about Israel, written this time by a man who openly supported the Munich Olympics massacre.

What a shower. They can never be taken seriously again.
