The Palestinians have been offered a homeland on numerous occasions – most recently in 2000 and 2008 – and repeatedly they have turned it down. They could have created a Palestinian state when the West Bank and Gaza were part of Jordan and Egypt between 1948 and 1967. But they didn’t. In 1967 the Arab States not only turned down another potential chance, they also issued the three no’s: “no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiation with Israel”.
To this day, the Palestinian leadership refuses to enter into peace talks with Israel. Hamas continues to hold Gilad Shalit and to fire rockets at southern Israel. So why is President Obama threatening Israel with sanctions? This is the same President Obama who when courting the votes of American Jews promised to never cut foreign aid to Israel and said he was in fact committed to increasing it.
Meanwhile Iran continues to build a nuclear bomb…

Crazy, but all is not lost and, as always, Israel is way ahead of the game. Already a major arms supplier and trading partner with India, Israel and Malat Industries is supplying drones to Russia. Furthermore, Israel has just had a Greek admiral over for a chat now that relations with Turkey have turned sour.
Meanwhile, Caroline Glick at the Jerusalem Post has a fascinating piece about improving relations with China.

Hussein Obama showing his true colours?
Hussein Obama showing his true colours?
LOL ROFPML HA HA HA
That was a joke right? You were pretending to be a birther?
I must admit I’m personally not into those ‘Hussein Obama’ theories either.
Obama is weak, bland and ineffectual as far as I can see. He coasted in on a good PR campaign and being fortunate enough to be born Not Bush
“Hussein Obama showing his true colours?”
Chas, if that commentator has said this about someone with a Jewish name, we would rightly condemn them for anti-semitism. This isn’t any different.
As I said, I disapprove of what she wrote.
Now, be fair…Barry is just following in the footsteps of other great American presidential Israel (Jew) dislikers such as Shrubs I & II, Bill Clinton, Dhimmi king Jimmy, and the so-called god of conservatism, Ronald Reagan. All ran departments of state that refused to allow American citizens born in Jerusalem to denote it as their place of birth with the pre-text that it would prejudice negotiations with the “Palestinians,” (Arabs born in Israel however can remove Israel from their passports regardless of what city they are born in). All of them sacrificed Israel’s security interests, and Jewish blood, in favor of Arab oil. When Barry lays a wreath on the graves of SS soldiers, then he can compete with the big boys. He’s just another two-bit Jew hater, clomping about in grown-up shoes.
Chillax already people! Listen,US support for Israeli terrorism and annexation of land is based on long term strategic objectives for maintaining US influence in the region.Basically,Israel is the regional “Lieutenant” and the US is the “Daddy”…sorry,”General”.Is there any reason why this should change just because the new guy in the White House has some placatory PR work to do after the previous nutjob?I don’t see any evidence for a major shift in strategy such as that. Don’t worry, you will get your missile defense shield and the green light to flatten Shiraz,Tehran and so on soon enough.Be patient.
It appears Yuval Steinitz, Israel’s finance minister, has responded to the threat of US sanctions by George(fool’s errand-boy) Mitchell by stating that Israel can do without US loan guarantees and was not planning to use them anyway.

There can be no better method of asserting Israel’s independence as a state in charge of its own citizens’ interests and not a hanger-on to Uncle Sam’s coat-tails.
