There is a big story running this week on the brilliant CifWatch website, which exists to monitor and expose the plentiful antisemitism on The Guardian newspaper’s Comment Is Free (Cif) website. Recently a commenter there called for the murder of Israeli settlers, including children:
“Sadly, there’s only one way to deal with these religiously motivated maniacs who think their superstitious beliefs trump international law. 1. We ask them to leave their squats, kindly. 2. If they don’t, we force them to [leave] at gunpoint. 3. If they still refuse, they must be slaughtered, every last man woman and child.”
Surprisingly, the commenter has not been banned from posting on CiF. Or is this a surprise? Check out this collection of key articles on CifWatch.
So calling for the massacre of Jews that don’t respond to politeness or the barrel of a gun is acceptable to CIF -As long as we no were we stand

This is disgusting. Shame on The Guardian. The fact it is not surprising does not make it any less shameful.
The Guardian is a horrible paper. This sort of thing makes me very sad.
It is very sad Jonathan. I grew up believing The Guardian was one of the good guys. Yes, there were racists and bullies in the world but The Guardian stood against all that.
But now, in the shape of both the comments and articles on Comment Is Free, The Guardian facilitates racist bigotry. I had my reservations about CifWatch when it first started, but I was wrong. It is a much-needed and brilliantly executed project. Good luck to them.
What about Haiti?
All I can say is:if this comment wasn’t removed,what on earth were the comments that were removed by the moderators saying?
On the other hand,CiF is not the only comments box loonie bin on the tinternet:check out The Spectator and the Liddle fans if you don’t believe me!

Just looked at CifWatch.Hmmmm.They are not best pleased about a Steve Bell cartoon.I’ve noticed that stupid people often fail to understand what Steve is getting at.They are wondering if Steve reads Stormfront.Hmmm.
