Some of you will already be aware of the legendary Normblog and its regular features, including the Normblog Profile, in which Norman interviews a different blogger each week.
Well, this week it is my turn in the hot seat. So if you want to know my answers to a series of personal questions, then click here. I have also recently written an article for Normblog about my favourite book. You can read that piece here.
I wish everyone a wonderful weekend.

I really enjoyed reading that Chas.
So how tall are you?
With the impending royalties from your books will you be getting your teeth done?
Thanks for this blog – I thoroughly enjoy reading your writing – your passion comes out and it has made a massive difference to me.
Thanks so much David. Very kind of you to say.
Not sure how tall I am. Around 5ft 8inches I think?
Loved it! A Normblog profile is a great honour which you deserve.
“I’ve never been a fan of office parties, New Year’s Eve, or any other instances of what I see as ‘enforced fun’. True joy is nearly always more spontaneous than that.” Well said! Come the revolution everyone will stop in on New Year’s Eve.
What was the cult that ran the school you went to?
I’ll join that revolution. I particularly dislike the “10! 9! 8!” etc countdown.
I’d rather not give the cult or the school the oxygen of a direct namecheck. Sorry to be mysterious.
Fair enough – I’ll just imagine it was the Psychandrics from Byker Grove; the only cult I’d ever join – especially as, if I remember correctly, they were all off on a trip to Brazil.
Haha! Remember that weird cult that stopped by the Gilad Shalit vigil? Where you there when they walked past?
They were Doctor Steel’s Toy Soldiers. (I still have their leaflet) http://www.toysoldiersunite.com/
I didn’t like much of what he said, but Chris Patten referred to the release of Gilad Shalit as something Hamas must do on Radio Four this morning.
“Enforced fun” a brilliant term, I thought it was only me. The thousands of hours I have endured of total “What the f**k am I doing here”. Mainly work related.
Thats it your an Arsenal supporter. Not reading this blog anymore. 8-)))
Boycott? ;p
You seem so jolly, I wish my son and husband were more like you, don’t you ever get down?
Alpaca…nice choice!! Great interview and lots of interesting answers. You never told me about the cult at school!! I’m intrigued…you must tell me when we next see each other. Also, can’t believe you didn’t choose “Horrie, Charman, and Edna” as your three dinner guests!!!!!
