Today is Hayley Okine’s 13th birthday. I hope she has a lovely day. Hayley suffers from a genetic condition called Progeria. You can read more about this in my post from June about her, or on her website.

As anyone who has followed her story knows, Hayley is a magnificent girl. She’s clever, cute, brave and adorable. Her parents are inspirational as well – it is families like the Okines that show us what love and life is all about. Progress is being made in the hunt for a cure for Progeria. I hope a cure is found soon, giving Hayley many, many happy returns.
