Thank you very much Chas for your wishes and support, i was reading your blog at Ynet, the upside is that there are still sane, rational and decent people in this world who still willing to face the negative reactions from many people all of the world when they support the Israeli Jewish cause, but the downside is that it’s hard to reach all of them, maybe because the Jewish nation is a very tiny minority in this word, but i hope that deep inside many people support our efforts to live normal life without the danger of the sword on our neck, this means without wars, without hate, without lies and without other people to tell us what to do specially in our own state, i hope more people will wake up and won’t be afraid to say what is in their hearts.

i wanted to thank you for the support and to say that each and every time we read or interact with Israel supporters around the world we respect and appreciate them, without people like you Chas it would be much more difficult to handle the issues i already mentioned.

As an Israeli, Jewish man from Tel-Aviv , i can say that it is so hard sometimes to deal with haters, no matter what sort of hate it is, it is very hard and frustrating, but it’s worth it.

Thanks again for your support and for the congratulations for Israel.

Happy 64 Israel, the political state exist for 64 years now, but for us the eternal land of Israel is thousands of years old, without our past there is no future, and we must always remember that.

Cheers Chas, you have another friend and blog supporter.

Raise your glasses to toast ethnic cleansing, racism, disposession, theft, murder, apartheid and the shooting of little children by snipers everyone!

    • Chas Newkey-Burden says:

But enough about The Voice – what about BGT?

    • Gili says:

Indeed blablablabla, anything else you wish to say little troll?

This is EXACTLY what we’re talking about Chas , can’t get more transparent.

      • blahblahblah says:

So what solution do you see to the Palestinian problem?
Do you favour expulsion or interment camps?
It’s make your mind up time-you’ve nearly got the whole of the west bank. What are you gonna do with the residents?

    • Fearghas O'Caithlain says:

Blah is quite right to remind us of all the Jewish refugees from European and Arab Nazi persecution who helped found the State of Israel.

    • Eyal From Israel says:

Yes, you are so right! These Palestinains in Gaza who target civilians with missiles, or those in the Eest Bank who through sheer ethnic cleansing caused almost all the Christains to flee from their homes, or the (Palestinian) sniper in the West Bank who shoot infants to death while in their fathers arms (Shalhevet Pas, if you do not really remember), or the racism that prohibits a Jew to live in Saudi Arabia and so on …
Yes, let us drink to that.

Unfortunately like all too many Jewish kids of my generation I don’t pay enough attention to my Hebrew teacher at Cheder – or learn my beloved Grandparetnts’ Yiddish (not sure which BG is speaking). Any chance of a translation?

    • cba says:

It’s Hebrew (albeit heavily accented). I was going to try to translate it (I didn’t catch a few words) and then I thought to Google it. Here’s http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_Declaration_of_Independence#Final_wording a translation of what’s in the video (which is a snippet of the whole speech). (It’s mostly Wikipedia’s translation, I just made a couple of little changes.)

“On the 29th of November, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish State in the Land of Israel; the General Assembly required the inhabitants of the Land of Israel to take such steps as were necessary on their part for the implementation of that resolution. This recognition by the United Nations of the right of the Jewish people to establish their State is irrevocable… This right is the natural right of the Jewish people to be masters of their own fate, like all other nations, in their own sovereign State. Thus members and representatives of the Hebrew Yishuv and of the Zionist movement upon the end of the British Mandate, by virtue of natural and historic right and based on the United Nations resolution… Hereby declare the establishment of a Jewish state in the Land of Israel to be known as the State of Israel.”

    “.didn’t pay….etc”

    - and 40 years later I’m no great shakes with the keyboard either!!!!!!!!!!!
